Ryan Hughes is a host on the Wealth Fix and the Founder & Portfolio Manager of Bull Oak Capital, a full-service wealth management firm. Ryan as been listed as one of InvestmentNews 40Under40, and Bull Oak Capital was listed as one of the fastest-growing firms by Wealth Management magazine.
He started the firm after graduating from the UCLA Anderson School of Business. where he completed an in-depth independent graduate research project and wrote an original whitepaper on Risk-Contribution Analysis and Value Investing as a basis for portfolio management.
Ryan also has equity analysis experience at Wedbush Securities and personal finance experience at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Charles Schwab.
Ryan is a proud U.S. Navy veteran, where he completed two deployments to the Persian Gulf as a VBSS team member aboard the USS Jarrett (FFG-33).
Ryan completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California (USC). Yes, he went to both USC and UCLA, though he supports both schools, despite their rivalry.
